Oh, hi. You startled me. I thought I was offline but clearly, I’m not. I’m supposed to write my usual Monday blog today but through no fault of my own, I just can’t. Not until I get over this attack of Lazy-itis. It often flares up after a long holiday weekend when my inertia has a chance to build up momentum.
I went to my doctor to have tests just to be sure. He told me that people with Lazy-itis don’t have anything physiologically different about them – which the tests confirmed I don’t have.
I don’t want to take his diagnosis lying down, but, given the condition, I really have no choice. And to those who claim they overcame Lazy-itis through hard work, well, obviously they were misdiagnosed.
No one really knows the cause of Lazy-itis, but there’s a theory that it’s transmitted to humans via cats who in ancient times contracted it from sloths by way of turtles who caught it from snails. Makes sense as these clever cartoons clearly reveal.
To my fellow sufferers, thanks for reading as far as you have. I appreciate the “effort.” Now you’ve earned a nap. Me too.
Yours in Good Humor,
